Happy Retirement Debby Davis!!!!
Please join NEK-CAP, Inc. in extending best wishes to Debby Davis, who is retiring from NEK-CAP, Inc. on June 1, 2018. Debby has been a well-respected member of our agency and will be greatly missed by co-workers, families and children of NEK-CAP, Inc.
In the fall of 1984, Debby began her journey with NEK-CAP, Inc. as a parent volunteer. In March 1985, Debby started her 33 years of employment with NEK-CAP, Inc. as the Special Needs Assistant for the NEK-CAP, Inc. Jackson County Head Start program. She trained under Rick Morrison, of the Morrison Speech/Language, Inc., located in Hiawatha to provide speech and language services to the children. From there, Debby has worked as a Family Advocate, Assistant Teacher and a Center Manager/Teacher.
In 2000, under Annie Laurie Johnson's direction, the Annie Laurie Johnson Child and Family Development Center was built. When the center opened, Debby became the Center Manager, which she has held ever since. Debby stated,” It is so hard to believe that 33 years have gone by already. I have enjoyed every minute of it and I have plans when I retire to volunteer at the Holton center whenever I can.”
To honor her contributions to the NEK-CAP, Inc. Head Start program, we are inviting you to attend a reception on June 1, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Annie Laurie Johnson Child and Family Development Center located at 130 S. Iowa, Holton, Kansas.
